I was more than a little bit distressed reading the blog of Patty Bell. No where did you disparage or judge or malign Mr. Simplot. I wish I could say the same thing about Ms. Bell's comments toward you. And I am certain (because I know of people who knew Mr. Simplot way back when) that he had his share of detractors who accused him of less than upstanding business practices. I am not saying that any of that is true, merely that others made comments. And unless Ms. Bell knew Mr. Simplot personally and knew of his every business move and decision, she can't possibly comment on his integrity from personal knowledge. And unless she can comment on integrity from personal knowledge, she shouldn't comment on it at all. Anything else is rumor-mongering and inappropriate. I don't see you judging Mr. Simplot at all. But you used his life as a segway to a Biblical lesson. Perhaps that is what Ms. Bell has a problem with, any Biblical lesson.
And Ms. Bell, you are not the arm of God's justice on Earth. If he felt Mr. Mansfield crossed the line in his comments, that would be up to God to correct, not you.
